On August 8, 2008 I had lapband surgery for weight loss. The journey actually started way before 8/8/08. This blog is about my experience which has involved so much more than just losing weight. On December 3, 2010 I had surgery to have the lapband removed due to complications. On July 19, 2011 I had gastric bypass surgery. The journey continues ...
I had gained a total of 9 pounds in the 2 years since GBP surgery, working hard to get them off, weighed in this morning.........down 3 of the 9 woo hoo! I am not obsessing about those 6, trying to loose them, yes..but everyone has a weight that they are comfortable with, regardless of what the doctors charts say they should weigh. I am pretty much in that window. Ups and downs along the way but my decision to get GBP was good for me! No more signs of diabetes and no sleep apenea maching at night!!
