166 - I'm officially down 50 lbs. since the gastric bypass surgery on 7/19. Yay! Weight loss has certainly slowed down - that's in direct correlation to my ability to eat a little more. However, I'm not eating a lot more. My first goal is to get to 155.
I have found that I can eat Hamburger Helper meals if I pick around the pasta - pasta is still difficult to eat. Sunday we went to PF Chang's and I had the filling part of lettuce wraps - just a little - and one egg roll that was delicious! After PF Chang's we went to see the performance "Stomp!" - absolutely awesome, please see it if you have an opportunity to do so.
Breakfast is usually Greek yogurt. Lunches and suppers are usually the meat from Hamburger Helper meals or Lean Cuisine meals. Snacks are usually cheese and/or sugar-free/fat-free popsicles, very occasionally I'll snack on nuts. That's about it ... I know it doesn't sound very exciting but I'm a happy camper.
Bottom line, though is that I feel great. Better than I've felt in a long time. And am sleeping better.
So I tell my son that I won't be doing much, if any, cooking for Thanksgiving because I don't want all that food around my house which will just go to waste. He said, "well, there are a couple of things you make that I really like; would you make those things for me?" I said sure and asked him to email me what he'd like for me to make. Okay, here's The List: turkey, gravy, dressing, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, green bean casserole, and cornbread. YIKES! I told him I'd make all those things but he's got to come to the burrow and help, and he has to take all the food back to his place! So Sunday we're cooking all day. He loves to cook and this is a good opportunity for him to learn how to make some of his classic favorites.
Happy Thanksgiving all. Be safe.
