11 week post-op weigh-in ...

172 lbs. - 46 lbs. Gone-zo. Yay. My first goal is only 12 lbs. away.

Am still having difficulty eating. I made some delicious corn chowder over the weekend and am able to very slowly eat about 1/2 cup at a time. It doesn't have much protein in it but at least it's something in my stomach. Tonight I'm going to make a bacon-spinach quiche. Over the weekend I also made homemade pork sausage and roasted a big ol' turkey - no, I didn't eat either of those items.

I don't know why I'm finding it so difficult to slow down when I eat - I did pretty well with that when I had the lapband, so why is it different with gastric bypass? Whatever, I have found that if I eat 2-3 bites then make myself STOP and get away from the food for 5-10 minutes, I can usually eat the remainder of the 1/2 cup serving with little trouble after that.
